Today, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-NM) and Representative Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), re-introduced into Congress the National Domestic Workers Bill of Rights. The groundbreaking piece of legislation will, for the first time, extend common workplace rights to the 2.2 million domestic workers in the United States, while also creating new protections and stronger ways of enforcing them. It is supported by President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Labor Secretary Marty Walsh.
