Seattle: In late November, the Seattle City Council unanimously voted to approve a resolution expressing the intent to establish a Portable Paid Time Off system in 2022, allocated $500,000 for its development, and directed the Office of Labor Standards to work with stakeholders to draft legislation. This is a direct result of the Standards Board created by the 2018 Bill of Rights won by NDWA, the Seattle Domestic Workers Coalition, and Hand in Hand.
