Beginning on July 1, 2022, New Mexico will require private employers to provide paid sick leave to employees at the rate of at least one hour for every 30 worked. The law includes nearly all New Mexico workers, including domestic workers, as well as part-time, seasonal, and temporary workers. NDWA affiliate El Centro de Igualdad y Derechos was instrumental in the coalition of organizations pushing for this change.
