On May Day, thousands of people—workers, families, immigrants, and youth—marched in cities around the country and the globe. In Washington, DC, NDWA and affiliate Dreamers Mothers in Action joined together with partners to call on President Biden to do everything in his power to provide relief to immigrants using his executive authority along with pursuing legislative solutions. It is time for dignity not detention, TPS, immigration protections, and citizenship for immigrant communities; and fair wages, benefits, and a voice on the job for all workers. Around the country NDWA affiliates and chapters also led marches and rallies, lifting up the leadership and demands of domestic workers. Check out some of the photos from the DC rally below, and if you have photos from your local May Day actions, please share them with rosa@domesticworkers.org to include in more roundups!
